Burn was the second architect in charge of building Harlaxton Manor after the departure of Salvin. With a king size bed, en suite with shower, coffee and tea making facilities, and toiletries, this comfortable room is perfect for our overnight guests.

The Scottish man who helped make the Manor

Violet Van der Elst, an entrepreneur and campaigner, bought Harlaxton Manor in 1937, greatly restoring the house and saving her for future generations. The violet room has a super king size bed, en suite with shower, tea and coffee making facilities, and toiletries. This inviting room has a window with chairs to sit and read or relax.

This elegant room is the largest in the pub. Named for William Ridgway, a trustee of the University of Evansville and the man who purchased and later gifted Harlaxton Manor to the University. William Ridgway was a philanthropist and believer in international education, leaving a legacy for years to come.
